If you’re considering attending the Prague Summer Schools but are curious about what a typical day as a student looks like, let me walk you through it.
Your day typically starts at the University Hotel, where you’ll wake up and enjoy a buffet breakfast served between 7:30 and 8:50. After breakfast, you head to our modern new venue, XPort, which is conveniently located just a short walk from the dining area. Lectures begin at 9:00, taking place in fully equipped classrooms designed to meet the needs of both lecturers and students. Each lecture lasts an hour, and between sessions, you can enjoy coffee breaks with refreshments like coffee, biscuits, fresh fruit, and more.
By around 13:00, the lectures wrap up, and lunch is served at the same venue. There are always at least two lunch options, one of which is vegetarian, along with a selection of drinks and soup. After lunch, you’ll have a bit of downtime to relax or socialize with fellow students.
At around 15:00, the afternoon activities kick off. These activities vary daily, ensuring that each day feels fresh and engaging. Depending on the day’s schedule, the program usually wraps up between 18:00 and 19:00. On our special “Free Day,” the popular boat tour finishes later, around 22:00, giving students extra time to take in the sights of Prague from the Vltava river.
Once the day’s official program concludes, you’re free to explore the city at your leisure. Whether you want to check out Prague’s vibrant nightlife, grab dinner with friends, shop, or simply stroll through the historic streets, the city is yours to discover. The daily schedule is well-balanced, offering a perfect blend of learning and extracurricular activities.
