Summer School on Conscious Business: from Greed to Sustainability

The Summer School on Conscious Business: from Greed to Sustainability offers students from a broad variety of backgrounds the chance to learn more about the human causes of climate change with a particular focus on the role business, industry and commerce have played in the demise of our natural environment.

Students will gain a deeper understanding of the impact of human society, industry, agriculture and transport on our natural forests, mangroves and grasslands, our rivers and oceans, polar caps and ice sheets, animal, bird and insect life and our planets atmosphere.

Through a series of lectures, workshops and group presentations students will have the opportunity to explore a range of emerging business models, sustainability frameworks and social enterprises whose focus reaches beyond profit maximization towards placing greater emphasis on stakeholder inclusion, environmental protection and the reversal of climate change.
