Apply for Prague Summer Schools in 3 simply steps
Application Deadline for Prague Summer Schools 2024: 10.2.2024 (EarlyBird), 20.5.2024 (Final). Before submitting the application please review the Application terms specified hereunder.
Although there are application deadlines, students are accepted on a rolling basis. In order to allow time to carefully review all student application materials, an e-mail notifying the application status to Prague Summer Schools will be sent to applicants approximately 14 days after the application is received. Applications received by the Earlybird application deadline of January 31sh will receive preference in admission decisions. Late applications may be considered. However, late applicants run the risk of finding the program full. All students will be informed about admissions decisions by May 1st. Participants will be selected according to the following three criteria:
- Educational Background (Year, Grade Point Average and Area of Study)
- Statement of Purpose
- Level of English (if applicable)
Approximately 20 students will be admitted to every program of the Prague Summer Schools. We intend to restrict the class size to ensure interactive courses and discussions. We aim to create a truly international student body.
The programs are most suitable for university students, but we also accept high school students with a strong interest and graduated students. The Prague Summer Schools admit both undergraduate and graduate-level students. Priority will be given to students with at least some academic background related to the topics of Prague Summer Schools. Nevertheless, students of other academic backgrounds, but with a strong demonstrated interest in the Summer School topic, will be considered on an equal basis.
Students admitted to Prague Summer Schools are expected to participate fully in the program by attending all classes, guest lectures, and social networking events.
The program fee for EarlyBird applications (February 10, 2024): 840 EUR
The program fee for students who submit their applications after February 10, 2024: 890 EUR
The program fee for students applying for the ONLINE China program: 400 EUR
Price for students that do not need accommodation (live in the Czech republic): 500 EUR
The program fee covers:
- Tuition and reading materials
- Accommodation in double rooms for one week
- The half-board which includes breakfasts, lunches, and coffee breaks
- Prague public transportation tickets and maps
- Site visits, social programs, and special events (e.g. Boat Tour on the Moldau River, Tours of Prague, Happy Hour, Free day trip, and a Farewell dinner)

Students are responsible for their travel to Prague, dinners, and personal expenses. The individual deadlines for the receipt of payment will be stated in the official letter of acceptance, but its generally 3 week after application! If payment is not received after 3 weeks without excuse your application will be dropped.
The final deadline for receiving payments is the 20th of May, 2024.
However, being quite popular PSS programs have been quite numerous in the last years. To keep the quality of the courses high, the number of spots in all courses is limited. Students should submit the registration form as soon as possible, as acceptance to the course will be made on a rolling basis.
Unfortunately, as a non-profit organization, SCHOLA EMPIRICA is not able to provide students with financial aid. Nonetheless, we do encourage students to explore funding opportunities available through their home universities, non-governmental organizations and government sources. Accepted students may ask the organizers for documents they need to support their scholarship application(s).

If you haven´t received any further information within 5 days of your application, please first check your spam or junk e-mails. If you are still missing an answer or have any other issue please contact: pss@scholaempirica.org. (I) Students/Summer School Programs for Students

(II) Practitioners/Summer Programs for Practitioners
Summer Programs for Practitioners are intended for professionals working in the field of summer program. University students may also be accepted, but practitioners will be given priority. Applicants are accepted on a rolling basis. Applications received by the Earlybird application deadline will be given preference in admission decisions. Late applications may be considered. Applicants will be informed about admissions decisions by May 1st.
(I) Students/Summer School Programs for Students

Program fee for Participants who submit their applications after March 1st, 2025: 1450 EUR
The program fee covers: training sessions, training certificate, four lunches, coffee breaks, site visits and farewell dinner.
Participants are responsible for their own travel to Prague and accommodation. Upon request, the Prague Summer School can provide information and help to organize basic accommodation at an extra cost for participants.
